What's in the Box: 2022 Topps Tier One Baseball

July 28, 2022

By Greg Beechaum

With the MLB All-Star Break behind us, we are squarely in the second half of the season, and Topps has a home run of a product with Topps Tier One Baseball. The high-end product features only three cards that are split into three parties: autographs, relics, and autograph relics. And as always, we're here to give you the rundown of everything to expect in the box.

What's in the Box:

· Cards per pack: 3

· Packs per box: 1

· Boxes per case: 12

Autographs

As I mentioned, there isn't a traditional base card set featured in Topps Tier One; however, that doesn't mean it lacks depth. There's a bevy of on-card signatures worthy of hobby fans' personal collections.

First up, we have the three larger inserts in the box in Break Out AutographsTier One Talent Autographs, and Prime Performers Autographs. They are numbered 299, but they also have three parallels in Bronze Ink, Silver Ink, and Gold Ink.

While those are considered the heftiest ink-only inserts in the box, they aren't alone. Next Level Autographs (/50 or less) features the MLB's current superstars.

We get a look at baseball greats – past and present – in Clear Ones Autographs and Clear Ones Dual Autographs.

Superstars also get teamed up in Dual Autographs (/50 or less) and Triple Autographs (/10 or less). Last, 25 of the all-time greats dawn the 1 of 1 Cut Signatures.

Relics

As for the relics in this year's release, there are eight different inserts, one of which is brand new to the product.

Returning this year, Tier One Relics (/399 or less) and Tier One Legend Relics (/199 or less) both bolstering two parallels, Dual Patch and Triple Patch.

Prodigious Patch (/10 or less) offer jumbo uniform patch from their respective players, and the brand-new Gripping Relics (/10 or less) also go big, providing jumbo pieces of bat grip tape from the league's best hitters. There's also the chance to pull buttons, bat knobs, bats, and All-Star patches.

Autograph Relics

Finally, we get the best of both worlds in the autograph relics.

Yet, there's even more, with Perfect Contact Autographed Bat Relics, Signature Tools Autograph Relics, and Dual Autograph Tier One Relic Book Cards.

Needless to say, Topps Tier One is loaded, and the potential is out of this world for anyone who's choosing to take a swing on this product. Also, with Hit, Snap, Share, we'll not only celebrate your big hits with you, but you can also potentially win $100 in credits to go towards your next purchase.
