Four months ago, we teamed up with Topps for a simple yet monumental task: Name America's Best Card Shop™. Local card shops are the lifeblood of this hobby that we all love. They're the ones who build the personal relationships that convert people into lifelong, die-hard collectors. We wanted to launch an initiative that recognized their importance while also shining a spotlight on the best of the best.
It started with more than 1,400 nominations coming through as collectors eagerly went to bat for their LCS. Then a panel of judges whittled it down to four finalists. Thousands of votes were cast in the finals, as collectors across the county helped determine who should be awarded this prestigious title. And now it's the moment that these four months have been leading up to. The winner of Loupe Presents: America's Best Card Shop™ is...
The Card Vault from Foxborough, MA! This modern retail shop is a collector's paradise. The Card Vault is located right across the street from Gillette Stadium, and it's focused on providing a top-notch collector's experience. It's a place for people to buy, sell, trade, submit cards for grading, and to hang out and talk about the hobby. However, The Card Vault also has an actual vault full of extremely high-end grail slabs like the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle and the 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card.
We'd like to congratulate The Card Vault on being crowned America's Best Card Shop™, along with Baseball Card Connection (Effingham, IL), Honey Hole Collectibles (Escondido, CA), and Real Sportscards (Champlin, MN) for making the finals. These are the kinds of shops that the hobby can point to as an example of what makes card collecting so special to so many of us.
Loupe would also like to thank The Topps Company, PSA, Blowout Cards, All Sports Marketing, and the Miami Marlins for helping make this nationwide search possible. Because of their generous contributions, The Card Vault has won a grand prize package that is worth approximately $50,000. The grand prize was assembled in a way that the winner can make further improvements to their store, expand their online presence, and provide unique opportunities to their community of collectors.
Loupe Presents: America's Best Card Shop™ started at Mint Collective in March and ended at The National in July. It felt fitting that we crowned a champion at the hobby's biggest show. We want to express our gratitude one more time for all of our sponsors, and for all the passionate collectors who participated in the nominations and voting.
